KAYA
Kaya nació en las afueras de Beira, Mozambique. Creció en una familia humilde, con un carácter rebelde y una curiosidad difícil de contener.
De joven se marchó a Maputo para estudiar danza, pero allí descubrió que lo suyo era la moda. Empezó a diseñar ropa mezclando tejidos y formas tradicionales con ideas propias.
Hoy su trabajo se conoce fuera de Mozambique. Sigue llevando su gran melena afro como siempre: libre, llamativa y muy suya.

KAYA
Kaya was born on the outskirts of Beira, Mozambique. She grew up in a modest family, with a rebellious streak and a curiosity that was hard to contain.
As a young woman, she moved to Maputo to study dance, but it was there that she discovered fashion was her real calling. She began designing clothes, mixing traditional fabrics and shapes with ideas of her own.
Today, her work is known beyond Mozambique. She still wears her big Afro as she always has: free, striking and unmistakably hers.
