Elsa empezó trabajando en una imprenta, fascinada por el origen de los libros que tanto la habían acompañado. Luego se hizo profesora. Era firme sólo cuando hacía falta y cercana casi siempre, sin levantar la voz.
Los años le enseñaron a entender a la gente sin juzgarla. Habla despacio, midiendo cada palabra, como si aún colocara cada letra en la caja tipográfica.

Elsa began working in a printing house, fascinated by the origin of the books that had accompanied her for so much of her life. Later, she became a teacher. She was firm only when necessary and warm almost always, never needing to raise her voice.
The years taught her to understand people without judging them. She speaks slowly, weighing every word, as though she were still placing each letter carefully into a typesetter’s tray.
